I am obsessed with New Year’s the way some people are obsessed with Christmas. And it’s not because I don’t love Jesus! I’m pretty sure He fully supports my love for fresh starts because He makes them possible.
As January comes to a close, if you haven’t already, take an hour or two to consider your plans for the year.
Who do you want to be on December 31, 2019?
To be her, you’ll need to study her.
What does she spend her time and energy on?
What values does she embody?
How does she think and feel as she looks in the mirror?
What has she accomplished?
What qualities does she possess?
How does she show up for those around her?
How does she show up for herself?
What do you do now that she doesn’t do?
In order to be her 11 months from now, you will need to start thinking, feeling and acting like her today.
Your thoughts drive all of your feelings and actions and create the results in your life.
What are your current thoughts? What results are they creating? What new thoughts will you need to think in order to create different results? Write them out, memorize them and then bring them to life.
The most important thing to remember is that you cannot dislike your way to a “better version” of yourself. If the woman you want to be is confident and likes who she is, you will need to think loving thoughts that make you feel confident today.
You are her, you just have to start thinking the way she would.
You’ve got this.
